Punam Kularia hails from a traditional Marwari family of Rajasthan, where business acumen and structural woodwork are second nature. His father, Sant Dularam Kularia, was a respected suthar (carpenter), and it was through watching him work with dedication and precision that Punam absorbed the values of trust, craftsmanship, and quality.

After studying commerce, Punam joined the family's interior business in 2001 at the age of 24, driven by a vision to create something distinct. "I learned by observing my father and brothers. Those early years were all about absorbing," he notes. By 2006, he launched BNP Interiors, which has since transformed over 650+ spaces across India, establishing a benchmark for luxury contracting and industrial manufacturing.

"Sansar mein vahi shresht hain jo apne kartavya ka imandari purvak palan karte huye karm path par hamesha agrasar rehte hain..."
— Santh Shri Dularam Ji Kularia (Spiritual Guide & Father)

His breakthrough came almost immediately in 2006. Launching BNP Interiors in Mumbai, Punam secured a landmark ₹9 Crore turnkey contract for Shoppers Stop, completing it in just 120 days. This astonishing delivery cemented the firm's commercial presence and set the stage for rapid national expansion.

The Novotel Pune Breakthrough

Bidding for Novotel Pune, BNP took a calculated risk: they built sample rooms at their own cost in just 25 days. The Accor group was so profoundly impressed by the quality and speed that they cancelled a major China import order, awarding BNP the entire 300-room contract. This marked BNP's aggressive entry into the luxury hospitality sector.

Make in India Leadership

In 2015, the firm was honored at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi as a segment leader under the national 'Make in India' initiative. This consolidated BNP's bespoke automated manufacturing DNA, heavily investing in German precision CNC machinery at their Navi Mumbai facility.

The pursuit of excellence continued through the pandemic. By 2022, BNP Interiors delivered an absolute masterpiece: the Taj Amer Palace in Jaipur. They completed 275 guest rooms in just 11 months, executing 5.5 lakh sq. ft. of stonework and 900 bespoke pieces. Punam deployed 700 artisans to finish the project early for an unexpected royal wedding, an achievement still celebrated in hospitality circles.

"True luxury is not just in the materials used, but in the precision of the joinery and the honor of keeping a promised timeline."

Expanding the Legacy

Today, with a pan-India footprint and aggressive expansion plans in the Middle East, Punam D. Kularia is redefining the intersection of traditional Indian craftsmanship and cutting-edge industrial ERP integration. His journey from a young observer in Rajasthan to the head of a massive general contracting empire is a testament to the fact that when passion meets perseverance, the results are nothing short of monumental.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, the blueprint is clear: unparalleled transparency, an unbreakable bond of trust with clients, and spaces that don't just exist, but truly breathe.
